With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Amy Young of Bloomfield, Iowa, born in Ottumwa, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 23, 2026 at the age of 47. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Amy Young to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Roy, JoAnn Swanson and Tom Cason; and her father-in-law Frank Young. She is survived by: her husband Joe Young; her children, Sophia Young and Cason Young; her parents, DeWayne Cason and Debra Cason of Bloomfield; her brother Jaime Cason of Bloomfield; her grandmother Marilyn Barnes of Ottumwa, Iowa; and her mother-in-law Nancy Lanman (Lloyd) of Bloomfield. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wagler Funeral Home (304 W Jefferson St, Bloomfield, IA 52537). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Bloomfield Christian Church (107 N Davis St, Bloomfield, IA 52537).
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Davis County "A" Club, Davis County Look to the Stars Cancer Foundation, and the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Rochester, Minnesota.
