With solemn reverence, we commemorate Danny Mathews of Bloomfield, Iowa, whose life came to an end on October 1, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Burten W. Mathews and Opal M. McVey Mathews; his former wives, Willa Mathews and Lynda Mathews; and his brother William Mathews.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Mathews of Bloomfield; and his children, Jodi Reynolds (Gary Pierson) of Ottumwa, Susan Mathews of Bloomfield, Chad Mathews (Angie) of Floris and Corey Mathews of Moravia, Iowa. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Wagler Funeral Home (304 W Jefferson St, Bloomfield, IA 52537). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
A memorial has been established to Reed-Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield.
