DeWayne Lawson Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of DeWayne Lawson of Bloomfield, Iowa, who passed away on November 10, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Flavy Ennis and Verna Mae Small Lawson; his son Michael Lawson; his siblings, Myrna Kay Tompkins and Dwight Lawson; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Lawson.

He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Lawson; his daughters, Kimberly Cowger, Lisa Cutler (Mark) and Amy Wuthrich (Montie); his grandchildren, Clayton Hopkins (Brittany), Megan Wright (Kevin), Ashley Yearns (John), Clinton Cutler, Logan Cutler (Jennifer), Kristen Hill (Joey), Shane Lawson, Corby Wuthrich, Cammie McDaniel (Jacob) and Cayler Wuthrich; his great grandchildren, Nicholas Heartly, Konner Bennett, Tyson, Jed Hill, Braxton Yearns, Brooks, Briggs Cutler, Tryton and Baxter Hopkins; and his siblings-in-law, Gary Horn (Bobbi Schroyer), Gordon Horn, Bryan Horn (Sherry), Bob Tompkins, Karen Evans, Katherine Radek (Dennis), Illa Horn, Corliss Howard, Debra Montufar, Fern Horn and Vickie Horn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Pulaski Mennonite Church.
