With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Jones of Bloomfield, Iowa, who passed away on November 13, 2025 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald Jones to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell "Jump" Jones and Lucille Lippert Jones; his wife Carol Snook; his daughter Lezlie Ann; and his brother-in-law Roland Chapman (Ron).
He is survived by: his children, Kelley Rue (David) of Des Moines, Iowa and Kevin Jones (LeeAnn) of Des Moines, Iowa; his grandchildren, David II Rue (Jen) of Norwalk, Brandon Jones (Nicole) of Ankeny, Kaleb Jones of Newton and Meggan Pauscher (Curtis) of Ankeny, Iowa; his great grandchildren, David III Rue (Zoe), Emma Rue, Dylan Casebolt, Irelynd Casebolt, Daltyn Casebolt, Lexi Alt, Ian Alt, Chloe Pauscher, Carrigan Pauscher and Cailyn Pauscher; his sister Peggy Jones Chapman of Williamsburg, Iowa; and his nephews, Steven Chapman (Esther) of Dubuque and Jeffrey Chapman (Sue) of Williamsburg, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wagler Funeral Home (304 W Jefferson St, Bloomfield, IA 52537). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Reed-Whisler Post #78 of the American Legion and the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.
