He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewell York and Beatrice York; and his wife JoAnn York. He is survived by: his daughter Linda York-Danielson; his grandchildren, Erin Ruth and Ethan Olaf Danielson; his sisters, Donna Lanman and Joy Johnson; and also, Richard York and John York.

A memorial has been established to the Davis County Look to the Stars Cancer Foundation.
