He was predeceased by: his parents, Evans Murrell and Cleo Murrell; and his sibling Jerry Murrell. He is survived by: his wife Helen Murrell; his sisters, Judy Abbott (Jim) of Haywarden and Iris Van Doran (Weze) of Burlington, Iowa; his children, Raymond Murrell (Renita) and Deanna Carlson (Ken) of Bluffton; and his grandsons, Christopher Murrell and Lucas Carlson of Fortson, Georgia..
A memorial has been established to Good Samaritan's Hospice.
