We are sad to announce that on December 8, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Laura Mathews of Bloomfield, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Pierce and Mary Helen Elmore Robertson; her son Larry Mathews; and her siblings, James Robertson and Pat Mincks.
She is survived by: her husband Raymond Mathews; her children, Gary Mathews (Cindy) of Mossyrock, Terri Rhum (Michael) of Bloomfield, Doug Mathews (Melinda) of Bloomfield and Christel Oberbroeckling (Michael) of Altoona, Iowa; and her sister Frances Blew of Ottumwa. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Wagler Funeral Home (304 W Jefferson St, Bloomfield, IA 52537).
The family will be present to greet friends from 3:30-5:30 p.m. A memorial has been established to the Heartland Humane Society.
