She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Riedel and Mildred Martin Riedel. She is survived by: her husband Harry Dean Eakins; her son-in-law John Fipps; her pet Penny; her children, Nolan Eakins (Shannon Simonsen) of Bloomfield, Iowa, Sharry Fipps of Drakesville and Brenda Johnson (Mike) of Bloomfield; her sister Carol Bachelor of Minnetonka, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Kaitlin Noble (Sam), Kristin Davis (Ryan), Klaire Heald (Gavin), Keelie Johnson and Nick Johnson; her great grandchildren, Jack, Case, Rhys and Millie; and her pet Peewee.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wagler Funeral Home (304 W Jefferson St, Bloomfield, IA 52537).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the American Diabetes Association for research and education.
