She is survived by: her husband Harry Dean Eakins; her son-in-law John Fipps; her pet Penny; her children, Nolan Eakins (Shannon Simonsen) of Bloomfield, Iowa, Sharry Fipps of Drakesville and Brenda Johnson (Mike) of Bloomfield; her sister Carol Bachelor of Minnetonka, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Kaitlin Noble (Sam), Kristin Davis (Ryan), Klaire Heald (Gavin), Keelie Johnson and Nick Johnson; her great grandchildren, Jack, Case, Rhys and Millie; and her pet Peewee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the American Diabetes Association for research and education and Impact Ministries International (IMI) for the support of agriculture and business to change lives.
