He was predeceased by: his parents, Junior Jacob and Lucille Hewitt Hootman; his son Wade Michael Hootman; his sister Linda Engel; his in-laws, Paul and Pauline Burdett; and his brothers-in-law, Doran Burdett and Mike Keller.
He is survived by: his wife Coleen Elizabeth Burdett; his son Eric Hootman (Natasha) of Bloomfield; his grandsons, Lane Hunter Boyd, Jacob Wade Hootman and Paul Doran Hootman; his siblings, Craig Hootman (Nancy) of Ottumwa, Lance Hootman of Floris, Twyla Hootman of Floris, Melanie Hootman of Floris and Sandra Keller of Fairfield, Iowa; and his brother-in-law Tom Engel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family and will be designated at a later date.
