Victor Combs Obituary
We announce the death of Victor Combs (Bloomfield, Iowa), who passed away on October 23, 2026, at the age of 65. Victor will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his father Donald Combs. He is survived by: his mother Judith Stewart Combs; his wife Michelle Hartzler; his children, Hannah (Jack) of Los Angeles, Roman of Minneapolis and Regan of San Diego; his brother Jeffrey of Stockton, CA; his aunts, Marilyn Routh of Onawa, IA and Donna May Hiatt of Grant City, MO; his parents-in-law, Judy and Dan Hartzler; and his sisters-in-law, Amy Gilchrist and Beth Carrier (Jeff). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Wagler Funeral Home (304 W Jefferson St, Bloomfield, IA 52537). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bloomfield Country Club (1205 E Franklin St, Bloomfield, IA 52537).
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Davis County Dollars for Scholars to be designated for a student pursuing a career as an educator and the McGowen Wildlife and Recreation Area.
