He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Meyer and Bertha Meyer (Laasch); his former wife Patricia Rorick; his siblings, Arnie, Bill, Tuffy, Herb, Milton Meyer, Ethel Moeller, June Sievers and Betty Mayerhofer; and his granddaughter Shelby Axline.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Leggins; his children, Steve Meyer (Phyllis) of Davenport, Bruce Meyer (Paula) of The Villages, FL and Lisa Wessel (Tim) of Davenport; his stepsons, Jeff Leggins (Marcy McBride) of Lowden, Brian Leggins (Darcy) of Wilton and Dean Leggins of Bennett; his grandchildren, Trey Meyer, Taylon Meyer (Emmilee), Betsy Meyer, Amanda Lander (Jerome), Nick Meyer (Vicky), Teryn Wessel (Alton Lynum), Danica Wessel, McKenzie "Kiki" Wessel and Jenny Clark (Andrew); and his brother LaVerne Meyer (Shirley). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
