He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Baker and Betty Baker (Bryson); and his son David S. Baker. He is survived by: his wife Lolita K. Bauer; his daughter Cheryl Anne Math (Scott) of Des Moines, Iowa; his stepdaughters, Tina Kress of Blue Grass, Iowa and Tamara K. Stoffers (Jack) of Blue Grass, Iowa; his grandchildren, Nick Baker (Bailie), Kaitlin Wood (Derek), Rachel Anne Armstrong (T. J.) and Michael Kress; his great grandchildren, Jameson, Hudson Baker, Easton and Kaysen Wood; and his sister Marie Bucher (Paul) of Hudson, Florida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial gathering was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bentley Funeral Home (1001 6th St, Durant, IA 52747). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Blue Grass Fire Department or to Lolita, for Neil's grandchildren.
