We announce the death of Shirley Britain of Blue Grass, Iowa, born in Rock Island, Illinois, who passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 76. Shirley will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Kraklio and Myrtle Kraklio (Perdue); her husband Dan Britain; her children, Neil (Laura Shelley), Daniel (Jennifer Britain) and Rebecca; her son-in-law Jason Zirkel; her grandchildren, Dalton Shelley, Kai, Chloie and Keaton Britain; her great grandchild Owen Britain; her siblings, Terry Kowalczyk (Mick), Paul and Russell Kraklio; and her stepmother Janet Kraklio.

Nothing would make her happier than donations to be made to your local food pantry in her honor.
