He was predeceased by: his parents, John Capesius and Marjorie Capesius (Gales) of Ann's Hospital; his sister Joan Capesius; and his sister-in-law Carol Capesius. He is survived by: his siblings, Margaret Muller (Bob) of Victoria, MN, Bill Capesius of Algona, Bob Capesius of Bode, Chris Capesius of Algona, Barney Capesius (Melissa) of Ankeny, Ann Duffield (Curt) of Humboldt, Katie Schmitt (Joe) of Fort Atkinson, Richard Capesius (Diane) of Algona and Joe Capesius (Brenda) of Bena, MN; and his close friends, Kim Thilges and Mike Berte. He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bishop Garrigan School and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Humboldt.
