He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Arlo and Annie Frances Hellwig (Atkinson); and his sister-in-law Diane. He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Amanda Hellwig (Charley Ray) of Golden, Colorado and Jacob Hellwig (Becky) of Ottumwa, Iowa; his grandchildren, Natalie, Matthew, Michael, Nicholas, Joshua Hellwig, Logan and Liam Ray; and his siblings, Michael Hellwig and Eileen Brotherton. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
