He is survived by: his wife Donita Carpenter of Bondurant; his children, Tanya Deppe (Mark) of Altoona and Rod Carpenter; his grandchildren, Brandon Deppe, Megan Deppe, Josh Deppe (Chloe Thostenson), Rob Carpenter, Sarah Kneedler (Clayton) and Tommy Carpenter; his great grandchildren, Anthony and Cole; his sister JoAnn Reininger of Tucson, Arizona; and his sisters-in-law, Rebecca Carpenter of Deland, Mary Lou Villafuerte of Omaha and Ruby Veber of Ankeny. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
