He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane McKay and Buelah McKay (Bellack); and his brothers, Bob and Gene McKay. He is survived by: his wife Sherry L. Jerman; his children, Brad McKay (Sara) of Urbandale and Angie Stratton (Jason) of Grimes; his grandchildren, Evan, Grady Degeneffe, Madelyn Stratton, Aidan and Luke McKay; and his sister Deb Kleinsasser (Bob). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial donations may be directed to the family for a paver at the Boone County Freedom Rock Memorial.
