With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doug Macek of Boone, Iowa, who passed away on May 29, 2025 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Macek and Doris Macek (Peterson); and his stepson John Boyer. He is survived by: his wife Shelley Macek of Boone; his daughter Chanda Macek of Texas; his stepdaughters, Kari Boyer of Des Moines and Tiffany Thuney of Boone; his brother Steve Macek (Judy) of Texas; his grandsons, Beau, Wesley, Joe and Lucas; his niece Taylor Macek; and his nephew Ross Macek.
