Harry Smith II Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 22, 2025, at the age of 80, Harry Smith II of Boone, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Harry Smith II to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry "Bud" Smith and Dorothy Smith (Hauser); his sister Judith Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Gerald Hartman and Rima Hartman.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Smith; his children, Shannon Jones (Matt) of Boone and Tyler Smith (Megan) of Reno, NV; his grandsons, Cooper Williams, Colton Smith and Ben Smith; and his stepgranddaughters, Bailey Jones and Laney Norman-Jones.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home (609 7th St, Boone, IA 50036). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Augustana Lutheran Church (309 S Greene St, Boone, IA 50036). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the The Cobblestone Inn (1900 Lakewood Dr, Boone, IA 50036).
The family encourages you to honor Bud in your own way—fire up the grill, crank up some Sinatra, tell a great story, or spend a little extra time in your own "happy place."In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bud's family for a designation at a later date, or to the Boone Booster Club.
