She was predeceased by: her husband Robert D. McGehee (Bob); her former husband Kenneth Barnes; her parents, Erma and Charles Borland; her stepfather Elmer Carlson; her daughter Laura J McGehee; and her sister Jean Garvey (Borland).
She is survived by: her daughters, Amy L Shafer (Craig) and Melissa A DeLong (Don); her grandchildren, Christopher Shafer, Alyssa Brandau (Erik), Steve DeLong (Nicole) and Mallory DeLong (Alonzo Markham); her great grandchildren, Christian Brandau, Carson, Kennedy DeLong, Zoey, Maliyah, Malakhi and Zariyah Markham; and her grandchildren, Kevin Barnes (Kim), Jennifer Best (David), Olivia Leonhard (Jack), Bradley, Mathew, Andrew Borst, Grayson Borst and Meadow Borst. She is also survived by relatives, grandkids, great-grandkids, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the First Evangelical Free Church in Boone or to Mission Central in Mapleton, Iowa.
