She was predeceased by: her parents, Bud Deal and Viv Deal (Snyder); her husband Larry "Butch" Boersma; her in-laws, Casey and Naomi Boersma; and her son-in-law Bobby E. Duncan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kelle Cook and Chris Duncan; her grandchildren, Nicole Cook (Nate DeShong), Garrett Cook (Katelyn), Becca Duncan and Brooke Antol (John); her great grandchildren, Elias, Edison, Elliott, Anthony, Cora and Callum; and her siblings, Donna Fyfe (James), Sheila Gibbons (Dave Madden), Ted Deal (Lynn) and Donnie Deal (Dawn). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel (1006 6th St, Boone, IA 50036). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, to use at their discretion.
