Larry Wilkening Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 19, 2025, at the age of 83, Larry Wilkening of Boone, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Larry Wilkening to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Wilkening and Mary Wilkening (Hart); his wife Char; and his siblings, Robert Wilkening, William Wilkening, Ernie Wilkening, Jr. and Elaine Cory.
He is survived by: his brother Lanny of Ames; his children, Julie Wilber (Scott) of Boone, Jenifer Thilges (Brian) of Boone and Mortezah "Mark" Yazdanpanah (Azar) of Minnetonka, MN; his grandchildren, Drew Wilber (Morgan) of Boone, Jade Willows (Madison) of Boone, Ashton Thilges of Boone, Parma and Hannah Yazdanpanah of Minnetonka, MN; and his great grandchild Junia Wilber of Boone. He is also survived by many numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (703 Arden St, Boone, IA 50036). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be used at their discretion.
