He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Sigmund and Opal Sigmund (Johnson); his former wife Margaret Sigmund (Younkin); his siblings, Logan Sigmund and Jean; his brother-in-law Burlin Christenson; his brother Roscoe Sigmund; his brother-in-law Frank Ward; his brother Dean; his siblings-in-law, Eloise Sigmund, John Younkin, Helen, Howard VanAusdall, Mary Lou Younkin, Bob and Elaine Younkin; and his close friend Josh Dakin.
He is survived by: his former wife Margaret Younkin; his wife Joan Sigmund; his stepdaughters, Kathy Shambaugh, Linda VanBlaricum, Joyce Warburton and Kaye Root; his grandchildren, Erik Melvin, Sarah Melvin Maisonet and Julie Warburton; his sister Dorothy Ward; his sisters-in-law, Mildred Sigmund, Millie Sigmund and Marylou Sigmund; his sibling's children, Dale Sigmund, Michael Christenson, Ronald Christenson, Jim Pantenburg, Tom Pantenburg, Steve Sigmund, David Sigmund, John VanAusdall, Doug Younkin, Alan Younkin, Carol Holmes, Denise Waldo, Joreen Stephens and Joann Mutch; and his close friend Dorothy Dakin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Hidden Acres Christian Center or Westhaven Community.
