She was predeceased by: her parents, John Schmitz and Ann Schmitz of Halbur, Iowa.; her sisters, Lillian, Ann and Rita; and her daughters-in-law, Cathy and Nancy Sayre.
She is survived by: her husband James Raymond Sayre of Scranton, Iowa.; and her children, James L. Sayre (Kitty), Jean Antoinette "Toni" Ridgeway (Gene), Sandra Osborn (Joe), John Sayre (Patrice), Robert Sayre (Cathy), Richard Sayre (Nancy), Jerry Sayre (Stephanie), Margaret "Peggy" Johnson (Lee), Mary Fox (Richard), Jan Barrett (Steve), Jo Johnson (Gary), Anna Sayre (Shelley Tiffany) and Paul Sayre. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
