He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Smith and Kathleen Smith (Lipe); his brother Gilbert Leon Smith; his wife Margaret Smith; his siblings-in-law, Marion Meschberger, David Babcock, Gayland Kellison and Peggy Kellison; and his son-in-law Gary Lewis.
He is survived by: his children, Gene Smith (Molly) of Pawnee, OK, Shari Koehn (Marty) of Boone, Laura Meyeres Deemer (James) of Blair, NE and Cristy Lewis of Catoosa, OK; his siblings, Anita Meschberger of Stafford, KS and Fred Smith; and his sister-in-law Zella Babcock of Blue Eye, MO.. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
