She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest Lewis Jones and Hazel Anna Jones (Roberts); her husband Marvin James Shafer; her brother Kenneth Lewis Jones; and her grandchild Hayes Matthew Doran.

She is survived by: her children, Craig Shafer (Amy) of Boone, IA, Laurie Doran (Doug) of Beaver, IA and Rodney Shafer. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren, 1 more on the way, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to use at their discretion.
