She was predeceased by : her parents, Anne Peterson (Murphy) and Richard Peterson. She is survived by : her husband Scott A. Smith; her brothers, Brian and Bruce; her sister-in-law Sandy Kellet; her children, Teresa, Lindsay and Brandon; and her friends, Jean and Jeff Gregersen.

Memorials may be directed to the Boone Area Humane Society in memory of Teresa and may be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home P.O. Box 523, Atlantic, IA 50023.
