She was predeceased by: her parents, James Scanlan and Winnie Scanlan (Paul); her husband Urban Koster of Martin's Catholic Church; her son Paul; her daughter-in-law Julia Koster; and her siblings, Thomas and John Scanlan.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Main (Mark) of Lincoln, NE, Leo Koster (Cathy) of Winterset, Ann Koster of Avoca, Gail Peters (Mark) of Lidderdale, Ray Koster (Amy) of Menlo, Beth Koster of Kansas City, MO, Neil Koster (Frendie) and Tami Onken (Joel) of Glidden; her siblings, Donna Nieland of Omaha, NE, Robert Scanlan (Peg) of Lake City, Patrick Scanlan (Shirley) of Kiron and James Scanlan (Pam) of Denison; and her sisters-in-law, Anita Hannasch (Duane), Myrna Schmidt (Van), Alice Thielen and Carol Scanlan. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
