Virgil Ledger Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virgil Ledger of Brighton, Iowa, who passed away on July 28, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Ledger and Margaret Peck Ledger; and his children, Pam Ledger, Lisa Harris and Jason Giberson.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Chezum Giberson; his children, Greg Ledger (Sarah) of Brighton, Phil Ledger of Ollie, Lonna Giberson of Brighton, Janie Giberson of Birmingham and James Giberson (Tara) of North Liberty; and his grandchildren, Tristan Ledger, Amanda Nelson, Emma Finger (Brett), Sydney Snyder, Heather Rebling (Jeremy), Jessi Crago, Ashley Schultz (Trevor), Kyle Harris, Brianna Williams, Kiersten Reif, Teagan Sickels, Nevaeh Giberson and Calvin Giberson. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A wake will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Ss Joseph and Cabrini Church. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
