He was predeceased by: his parents, David Peterson and Berneta Peterson (Reicherts); his father-in-law John Lewis; and his brother-in-law Dalen Miller. He is survived by: his wife Janice Lewis; his children, Matt Peterson (Becky) and Trisha Boos (Alex); his grandsons, Avery, Kamdon and Maddox Boos; his siblings, Dean Peterson (Mary), Dan Peterson (Teresa), Deb Miller, Dwight Peterson (Sherry), Donna Boots (Bob) and Dawn Peterson; his mother-in-law Caroline Lewis; and his in-laws, Gary Lewis (Julie), Sally Brown (Rich), Curt Lewis (Monica), Jeff Lewis (Rashelle), Todd Lewis (Lisa), Brad Lewis (Kathy) and Jason Lewis (Leah). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dumont - Woodley Funeral Home (902 W Broadway St, Dumont, IA 50625). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at 19268 Forest Ave, Dumont, IA 50625.
