He was predeceased by: his foster parents, Emil Harten and Loretta Harten; his parents, Emil and Loretta; his parents-in-law, Herbert and Opal Ryerson; his siblings-in-law, Karen Keepers (Tom), Mary Smidt (Ole), Ollie Dawson and Paul Ryerson (Carol); and his nephew Gary Ryerson.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Ryerson of Britt; his sister-in-law Martha Dawson of Britt; and his close friends, Ray Christensen of Britt and Terrel Brock. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Faith Bible Church (707 4th St SW, Britt, IA 50423). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
