He is survived by: his wife Frances Doughan of Britt; his children, Diane Mattoon (Bill) of Britt, Dwight Doughan of Britt, Duane Doughan (Lynda) of Britt, Dan Doughan (Lynn) of Britt, Deb Veldhouse (Dan) of Britt, Doug Doughan (Dawn) of Clear Lake and Darla Yeakel (Randy) of Kanawha; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Doughan and Marcie Doughan. He is also survived by 41 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the West Hancock Scholarship Fund or Hospice of North Iowa.
