In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Janet leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Janet may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Mikesh and Danae Mikesh (Hansen); her husband Rodney Van Winkle of Holiday Lake; and her son Cory Van Winkle. She is survived by: her children, Shay Van Winkle (Brittany) of Van Horne, Chris Van Winkle (Sydney) of Cedar Rapids and Alysha of Cedar Rapids; and her siblings, Scott Mikesh and Karla Saling. She is also survived by other children and spouses; and multiple grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Holiday Lake Community Center (6 Lakeshore Drive, Brooklyn, IA).
