He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Baustian and Jean Arlene Baustian (Schafbuch); his wife Donna Baustian (Wakeley); and his brother Scott Baustian. He is survived by: his daughter Megan Kautzer (Nivek) of Brooklyn; his granddaughter Hailey Henry; his stepchildren, Chad Coburn (Crystal), Carla McClenathan (Curt Funk), Joshua Coburn (Cynn) and Jessica Lacaeyse (Joel); and his stepgrandchildren, Cael Coburn, Layle McClenathan (Drew), Ean McClenathan, Tyler Armstrong, Austin, Kaiden, Olivia Coburn, Kinze, Leyton and Ilee Lacaeyse.
Memorials may be designated to his daughter, Megan Kautzer to purchase a memorial bench to be placed at Holiday Lake or memorials may be given to the Holiday Lake Fish Committee and mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, PO Box 382, Brooklyn, IA 52211.
