He is survived by: his wife Sheila Kantrovich; his children, Dr. Michael Bernstein (Gina) of St. Louis, Julie Bernstein of St. Louis and Debbie LaCroix (Todd) of Dakota Dunes; and his siblings, Jack Bernstein (Gail) of Dakota Dunes and Elaine Berlind of Connecticut. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Care Initiatives Hospice, Sioux City Community Theater, or the Siouxland Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
