He is survived by: his mother Betty Van Dee (Garringer) of Vining; his wife Dena Antons of Brooklyn; his children, Kyle Van Dee of Holiday Lake, Jordan Antons of Grinnell and Ryanne Van Dee of Brooklyn; his siblings, Rick Van Dee (Sue) of Tama, Shirley Jacobs (Dan) of Toledo, B. J., Rusty Van Dee (Cindy) of Chelsea and Jill Van Dee Apfel (Todd) of Vining; and his brother-in-law Doug Horne of Chelsea. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
