He was predeceased by: his parents, Virtus Petersen and Velma Petersen (Mommsen). He is survived by: his wife Bette Petersen of Bryant, IA; his children, Mark Petersen (Patty) of Clinton, IA, Marsha Puckett (Paul) of Goose Lake, IA and Michelle Matheson (Dan) of Aberdeen, SD; his grandchildren, Miles Matheson (Stephanie) of Denver, CO, Lukas Matheson of Bentonville, AK, Rachel (Lance Bormann), Brooke Puckett of Goose Lake, IA, Megan Petersen (Pete Fleming) of Des Moines, IA, Whitney Boyd (Isaac) and Connor Petersen of Red Oak, IA; his great grandchildren, Hayden and Hazel Bormann; and his sister Nancy (Dave). He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
