She was predeceased by: her parents, Cort Rippentrop and Idah Rippentrop (Telkamp); her husband Larry Shirk; her brothers, Roger Rippentrop, Robert Armstrong, Richard Wiltgen, Dennis Shirk (Fern), Timothy Shirk and Sherwood "Bud" Shirk; and her nephews, Jeff Helmers, Michael Rippentrop, Tim and Bradley Shirk.
She is survived by: her sisters, Sandy Armstrong, Marilyn Wiltgen (Paul Kollasch) and Linda Minton; her nieces and nephews, Troy Armstrong (Sue), Barb Schaefer (Jim), Paul Armstrong (Ann), Kelly Lugar (Justin), Donna Rojas, Tandy Snodgress (Don), Carrie Helmers and Randy Shirk; and her goddaughter Chelsey Armstrong.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mittelstadt Funeral Home (902 E Main St, Lake Mills, IA 50450). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
