He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Shannon and Abigail Shannon (McCormick); his wife Patricia Darlene Phillips; and his daughters, Linda Selters and Diana Shannon.
He is survived by: his son Michael Shannon of Denmark; his grandchildren, Bryan Selters (Kristina) of Lawrence, KS, Anthony Drake Selters of Burlington, Garret Selters of Burlington, Kaitlyn Shannon of Burlington and Bryce Shannon of Burlington; his great grandchild Fallon Shannon of Burlington; and his siblings, Stanley Shannon of Alexis, IL, Dyson Shannon (Leona) of East Galesburg, IL and MaryAlice Reeves of Alexis, IL..
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Prugh Funeral Service (3940 Division St, Burlington, IA 52601). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial has been established for the Burlington Area USBC.
