It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billie Jo Mears of Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Donald Cook; her stepfather Jim Barnes; and her stepsiblings, Byron and Jerry. She is survived by: her mother Carolyn Hamilton Cook of Ft. Madison; her husband Robert Mears of Burlington; her son Brandon Lowery of Wisconsin; her stepdaughters, Katie Locke and Kristi Anderson of Galesburg; her pets, Harley, Peanut, Chase and Nena; and her stepsiblings, Maureen, Gayle, Marie, Carolyn, Janice, Paula, Dennis, Ernest, James and Myron. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
