He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles F. Norton and Gertrude I. Norton (Buck); his wife Ruby Brockett; his daughter Sandy; and his siblings, Don, Charles, Dale Norton, Ruby Norton Bartholow Donohoe and Opal Beanblossom.
He is survived by: his sons, Ken Norton (Cheryl) of New London and Roy Norton (Terri) of Burlington; and his siblings, Melvin Norton (Christy) of Utah and Pearl Moser of Arizona. He is also survived by four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A memorial has been established in his memory for Hope Haven a Division of Imagine the Possibilities and the University of Iowa Pediatric Cancer Center.
