With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Claus Benninghoven of Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on March 12, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Werner Gottfried and Elisabeth Anna Benninghoven; his brother Karl Benninghoven; and his son-in-law Michael Field. He is survived by : his wife Eleonore Dietz; his children, Marlene Field (late Michael), Robert Benninghoven (Heather), Joanne Bovee (Michael) and Michael Benninghoven (Sarah) of Burlington; and his grandchildren, Lorie, Diane, Jason, Jeffrey, Hannah, Breanne, Brett, Lydia, Natalie, Haley, Katie and Brittany. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
