He was predeceased by: his children, Brooklyn Patterson and Connor Patterson; and his cousin Terry Cover. He is survived by: his parents, Anthony Patterson and Diane Patterson (Korf) of Mediapolis, Iowa; his son Colton Patterson (Adryana) of Mediapolis, Iowa; his grandchildren, Dani and Carter Patterson; and his sisters, Linda Nichols (Brian) of Eden Prairie, Cindy Huffman (Kenny) of Mediapolis and Jennifer Tonne (Mark) of Shueyville, Iowa.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established in his memory for Breakthrough T1D or JDRF.
