It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Curtis Flatt of Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on May 5, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer C. Flatt and Edith R. Southern Flatt; his brothers, Marion "Bunk", John "Jack" and Merideth "Mert" Flatt; and his half-brother Wayne Flatt.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Mae Pinson of Burlington; his sons, Scott E. Flatt (Wendi) of Middletown and Mark Flatt (Nena) of Fishers, IN; his grandchildren, Danielle Martin (Justin) of Broken Arrow, OK, Sean Flatt of Broken Arrow, OK, Elsie Phillips (Sam) of San Clemente, CA and Arie Flatt (Rachel) of Fishers, IN; his stepgrandchildren, Abby Enhorning of Gattlingburg and Todd Stewart of Dallas, TX; and his great grandchildren, Landon, Kennedy, Skylar, Ryder, Mason, Kaia, Evie, Arie Jr., Indy and Declan.

A memorial has been established for Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice.
