With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darlene L Johansmeier of Burlington, Iowa, born in Ottumwa, Iowa, who passed away on May 7, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Warren and Dorothy Warren (Bechtel); her sister Carolyn Wellborn; and her parents-in-law, Elmer and Ella Johansmeier.
She is survived by: her former husband Dennis O. Brookhart; her husband Billy Johansmeier of Donnellson, IA; her children, Teresa Brookhart Gartner (Chuck) of Auburn, WA, Libby Brookhart Goben (Scott), Billy Brookhart (Shannon) of Maple Valley, WA and Dennis W. Brookhart of Burlington, IA.; her siblings, Betty Wheeler of Memphis, MO, Marilyn Warren of Burlington, IA and Clifford Warren of Burlington, IA; and her brother-in-law Ray Johansmeier (Kristy) of Naples. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many beloved friends.
A memorial has been established for the Alzheimer's Association.
