David Olmsted Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Olmsted of Burlington, Iowa, born in Urbana, Illinois, who passed away on January 3, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas "J. T." and Marjorie Wiese Olmsted; and his foster sister Lorene Cutright. He is survived by: his wife Judith Schmitz of Burlington; his sons, Greg Olmsted of Burlington, Joe Olmsted of California and Nicholas Olmsted (Carla) of Burlington; his siblings, J. Thomas Olmsted II (Marie) and Peggy Sisco (Richard) of Port Charlotte, FL; and his brother-in-law Jerry Cutright. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial has been established for Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice.
