He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Ruberg and Marion Ruberg (Kinney); his sisters, Rhonda Sweezer and Sharon Anders; and his nieces, Tanya Sweezer, Corina and Elizabeth Bohnenkamp.
He is survived by: his wife Leslie Wilkerson; his stepchildren, Laurissa Mitchell of Burlington and Charles Mitchell (Ashley) of Ely, Iowa; his grandchildren, Sami Smith, Thomas Smith, Alex Rice, Matthew Rice, Paige Mitchell, Jordan Mitchell, Aiden Mitchell, Alex Lampe, Ceylon Puga-Mitchell, Emilia Mitchell, Haven Mitchell and Charli Mitchell; and his siblings, Michael Ruberg (Young), Tim Ruberg (Teresa), Lori Bohnenkamp and James Ruberg (Rebecca). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
