She is survived by: her children, Rick Waite (Anne) of Hanover, Susan Van Ness (John) of Genoa, Kent Stage of Hagerstown and Geraldine Taylor (David) of Burlington, Iowa; and her granddaughter Kristina.
A memorial has been established in her memory for the Burlington High School Band or Orchestra.
