He was predeceased by: his parents, Gillette Brimhall and Marjorie Maude Noble Dixon; his sisters, Elaine Brokaw, Jo Klossing, Karen Sue Dixon and Joyce Adair; his brothers-in-law, Frank Brokaw, Dean Klossing and John Adair; and his former wife Lila Campbell.
He is survived by: his close friend Patricia "Pat" Ann Bullinger of Burlington; his children, Steven Don Dixon (Nicole) of Ft. Madison and Michele Lea Aspleaf (Stephen) of Overland Park, KS; his grandchildren, Tim (Chloe), Jill (Tyler), Lanie (Justice), Cael, Bram and Colie; his great grandchildren, Liam and Wyatt; his stepchildren, Erik Bullinger (Stephanie) of Mason City, IA, Karl Bullinger (Susan) of Iowa City, Erin Folker (Jim) of Mt. Pleasant, Seana Krohn (Brian) of Stoughton, WI, Michele Mauer (Brent) of Mediapolis and Cara O'Sullivan of Murray, UT; and his siblings, Leslie Dixon (Sue) of Geneva, IL and Colleen Dixon of Dahinda, IL. He is also survived by 13 step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for the Henderson County Historical Society.
