She was predeceased by: her parents, John Griggs and Veva Murial Griggs; her spouse Arlo "Shorty" Max Gibson; and her siblings, Veva Hermanstorfer, Dale, Clarence, Mervin and Kenneth.
She is survived by: her son Lyle M. Gibson (Janice) of Burlington; her grandsons, Jason Gibson (Robin) of Overland Park, KS, Justin Gibson (Elizabeth) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Jonn Gibson of St. Louis, MO; her sister Margaret Herr of Oskaloosa, IA; her great grandchildren, Conner Gibson, Carson Gibson, Jenna Gibson and Ryan Gibson; and her sisters-in-law, Donna (Sigourney), Betty (Millersburg) and Jeanette Gibson of Burlington, IA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her wish was to have her body donated to the University of Iowa College of Medicine.
